Meet Danny! Danny is married and has two daughters. He is the owner of Excel Health and Fitness & Caffeine and Kilos. The coffee company ships coffee all around the world!
tell us about your climbing background
Danny was first introduced to climbing through his daughter Maddy! Maddy signed up for a summer camp at Alpine and quickly fell in love with it. She later signed up for the youth programs and Danny thought it would be fun to stay and climb while Maddy was climbing. He too found that he really enjoyed climbing and it became the hobby he was missing.
why did you join alpine?
Danny has always loved things that challenge him both physically and mentally. He loves things that are hard and highly technical. When you do accomplish something that is challenging it is highly rewarding. Alpine is a clean and friendly facility.
what advice would you give to a new climber?
Advice Danny would give to new climbers is just be okay with it being hard. Know that you are going to be bad initially and be okay with that. Think about if you can just get one hold higher. There is going to be something for everyone, so enjoy the journey.
