MEMBER OF THE MONTH - Anthony and Clinton
Tell us about your family
Meet the Anthony and Clinton! These two met in high school and were best friends growing up. After graduating they both went their separate ways and got married. It wasn’t until Alpine opened that they reconnected and their families became close friends again.
tell us about your climbing background
Clinton and his wife have always enjoyed the outdoors and when they found out that Alpine was opening they decided to try it as a family. After falling in love with climbing, Clinton invited Anthony and they have been climbing together both inside and outside ever since.
why did you join alpine?
It was a great way for us both of us to get together with our families! We can pursue our own climbing goals individually and together but we can also do it as a family. We didn’t know this when we joined, but one of our favorite things are all the people we’ve had a chance to get to know. It’s such an encouraging environment.
what advice would you give to a new climber?
Do hard things scared. Climbing might be scary, and it might be hard, but do it scared and you will find it is a lot more fun than you might have expected. Keep pushing yourself and find a partner that cares about you and pushes you to do hard things.
